Diversitech Redbox Extension

The Diversitech REDBOX-EXTENSION (often listed as part of the RedBox series components) is an accessory designed for the RedBox Condensate Pump line. While the core RedBox units (like the 1L and 2L models) are tank pumps used to remove water from air conditioning and heating systems, the “Extension” typically refers to the wiring or alarm extension kits used to integrate the pump with HVAC systems located at a distance.

The RedBox extension allows for greater flexibility during installation by extending the reach of the pump’s safety and power components.

• Safety Switch Integration: It is primarily used to connect the pump’s High-Level Alarm (Safety Switch) to the air conditioning unit. If the pump reservoir fills up and cannot drain, the extension carries the signal to the AC unit to shut it down, preventing a flood.

• Extended Reach: It solves the “short cable” problem common in lofts, basements, or high-wall installations where the pump and the indoor unit are not side-by-side.
